On Friday, quite a few people were stuck at the airport on the Abu Dhabi-Almaty flights. Boarding was supposed to start at 7 am, but a couple of hours earlier, the bombing of Iran, which is across the Gulf (2 hours’ flight), began. “Are you traveling to Almaty? Please come here.” We were taken aside. They said the flight was cancelled. They put us up in a hotel. People from cancelled flights to Malaysia, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Moscow, Tel Aviv soon arrived there. I met some Kazakhs who live and work remotely in the UAE. Some returned / left Europe because it became unprofitable to work there. Some are planning to build up a portfolio to get a “normal job” in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is still the main base for many. And in the crowded hotel, all the foreigners (citizens of Armenia, Malaysia, etc.) when they found out that we were from Kazakhstan, they raised their thumbs up. It’s good that our country has normal relations with everyone. I gained confidence that working with Almaty with an audience all over the world is not only real, but one of the safest and most practical options. I got stuck on the Google Basic Agentic Framework lab. By the way this is our first post ever. Welcome to the 1st birthday of Devsmap. We also rebranded our youtube channel.
