Alright, tech fam! Listen up. We’re launching something massive and we need you to spread the word.
Reckon you can turn a class idea into a real-deal app? We’re throwing down the gauntlet with the Firebase Studio Championship. This is for all you coders and creators out there ready to build something brilliant and compete for some proper cash.
It’s your chance to get properly stuck into Firebase Studio – Google’s sick, AI-powered platform for building web and mobile apps. Flex your skills with Firebase and the Gemini API, and you could be walking away with a tidy prize. Our mission? To get a new generation of devs building amazing projects and put our region on the map.
The Lowdown (Key Dates for 2025):
- AUG 26 – SEP 10: Get Registered & Get Building. Sign up solo or with your crew (up to 3 mates) and start cracking on with your project.
- SEP 10 – 20: The Big Reveal. We’ll announce the finalists from Central Asia.
- SEP 30: Pitch Day. The grand finale in Astana. You can rock up in person or dial in from your sofa (hybrid format, location TBC).
- SEP 30: And the Winner Is… We crown the top 5 champs!
The Nitty-Gritty:
- Format: Fully remote, so you can code from anywhere.
- Cost: Absolutely free. Not a sausage.
Who’s it for? You’ll need to:
- Be based in Central Asia (but our mates in MENA, Turkey, and Azerbaijan are welcome to have a crack too).
- Build and ship your project using Firebase Studio. No cheating!
- Have the Gemini API properly integrated and doing something cool.
- Have a valid Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ID sorted.
The Loot: Cash & Perks Up for Grabs
Winners get their hands on some serious dosh:
- 1st Place: $500
- 2nd Place: $400
- 3rd Place: $300
- 4th & 5th Place: $200
Plus, the top three get some hefty GCP vouchers ($1000, $750, and $500). That’s a proper boost.
All 10 finalists get certificates, access to Cloudskillsboost training to skill up, and some GCP credits to play with. Everyone’s a winner, basically.

- Does it actually solve a problem? (20%): Is your idea genuinely useful or just a gimmick?
- AI Wizardry (20%): How clever are you with your prompts and AI magic?
- Is it any good? (25%): Your prototype needs to work smoothly. We’re talking slick UI/UX and zero dodgy bugs.
- Originality (20%): Is it a fresh idea or a bit ‘seen it all before’?
- The Pitch (15%): You’ve got 3-5 mins to sell us your dream at the final. Make it count.
